Charlie Curtis-Beard is a Los Angeles-based rapper. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Charlie moved to Chicago to pursue his music career while studying at Columbia College Chicago. The self-produced musician has garnered the attention of Chicago Reader and Bandcamp with his first LP, “Childish,” dubbing him “Best Overlooked Hip-Hop Artist” and “Best New Soul” respectively. 

Since then, Charlie has continued to perfect his youthful style that fuses hip-hop, neo-soul, and funk music, deriving in his LP, “Existentialism On Lake Shore Drive” (XOLSD). Following the release of XOLSD Curtis-Beard went on to release a stream of four singles and an album, including “22 in Eden”, that ultimately landed him features on Lyrical Lemonade and various Spotify lists. 

Following his release of “22 in Eden”, Charlie moved to Los Angeles where he continues to work on countless projects. Since his move, Charlie developed his brand identity on TikTok by collaborating with various artists, generating millions of views on his videos. His most current project, Rain in Pasadena, highlights his time in Los Angeles and successfully captures his youthful and soulful style.
